Ground School
Ground school is a necessary component to learning to fly or to getting an advanced rating. The below courses are periodically offered by
independent instructors at FMFA.
Available Courses
Private Pilot Ground School
POC: Vicki Bevan
Tuition is $225
Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1800 - 2100
Location: Tipton Airport Classroom next to the FBO. Address: 7517 general aviation drive.
Date: This is a 9 week course meeting twice a week. The current course runs from Sept 10, 2019 to Nov 3, 2019.

Materials: The materials cost about $100. This varies according to what the student already has. Text for the class is the “Pilot’s Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge”. Other materials are the Gleim Private Test Prep., a FAR/AIM, a navigation plotter & E6B, and a logbook for the endorsement at the end of the course.
